A Sustainable Veteran Community

Welcome

At Samson’s Strength Sustainable Veterans Project (SSSVP, Inc.), we are dedicated to fostering independence and sustainable living for veterans facing homelessness and joblessness.

Through a combination of transitional housing, job skills training, and equine-assisted experiences, we provide veterans with the tools, support, and opportunities they need to reengage with their communities and rebuild their lives.

Our Mission

SSSVP exists to empower veterans by modeling sustainable living habits and equipping them with essential skills for long-term success. We incorporate Equine Experiential Learning and Horse Therapy with donkeys, horses, and draft horses to assist veterans, their families, and mental health providers in understanding the transformative power of working with animals.

Our Vision

We believe that independent living, meaningful work, and strong community connections are key to a successful transition back into civilian life. Our Small Footprint Home model offers transitional housing, while hands-on job training and access to veteran resources provide opportunities for self-sufficiency and reintegration.

About SSSVP.org

About Our Farm

Nestled on 115 acres of land, our farm provides the perfect setting for healing, learning, and self-sufficiency.

With 40 acres dedicated to hay production and 60 acres of mature woodlands, the farm is a balance of open fields and natural serenity. It is home to our farmhouse, barns, and essential outbuildings, all supporting our mission to create a sustainable and supportive environment for veterans.

In May 2019, we expanded our vision by purchasing 16 additional acres just around the corner from the main farm. This land is dedicated to developing our Veteran’s Village, which will feature 30 small-footprint homes and a community center, providing a safe and stable foundation for veterans to rebuild their lives.

Our farm is more than just a place—it’s a community-driven space for growth, empowerment, and renewal.
